This page explains how Second Language Project handles information you share through this organizational website. Individual activities and project tools may provide additional information about their own arrangements.
When you contact us
If you send an inquiry, we receive the information you choose to provide, including your message and contact details. We use it to understand and respond to your inquiry and manage related follow-up.
Your contact details are not part of a public project report. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to general updates or give permission to publish your story.
Website operation
The contact form emails your inquiry to SLP and sends a separate confirmation copy to the email address you provide. The application does not save message contents in its website files. It uses a temporary session cookie for request protection and a private counter with a hashed network address to limit spam. Counter entries expire after 15 minutes and are removed on later requests; server sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity and are cleaned by PHP. The language-report download service has a separate allowable-key list and records successful key authorizations. Public pages use no marketing analytics or third-party font requests. Hosting and email providers may keep their own technical logs, messages and backups; their retention settings have not been confirmed here.
Access and retention
Please contact us to ask about access to, review of, or deletion of information you have shared. We will discuss the records involved and what is possible. Email services and backups may retain copies under their own arrangements; we do not promise removal from systems outside our control.
Taking part in a project
Listening sessions and other activities will explain their participation and information-use arrangements separately. A general website inquiry is not consent to recording, public quotation, or research participation.
Questions about your information
Contact info@secondlanguageproject.org with a question about information you have shared through this website. Include enough context for us to identify the inquiry without sending unnecessary sensitive details.
