There’s more than one way to take part.

You might come to learn, share an experience, help bring people together, or contribute a skill. We welcome interest from people and organizations across San Leandro and the wider Bay Area.

You do not need to speak another language to participate. English is part of our work, and each activity will explain its languages and participation arrangements.

Contribute your time or skills

Tell us about your interests and what you would like to contribute. Possible areas include welcoming participants, helping with materials, language review, organizing resources, and supporting community activities.

We will discuss whether there is a suitable opportunity and what it would involve.

Express interest in contributing

Bring a conversation to your community

Libraries, neighborhood groups, schools, community organizations, and other collaborators can help identify useful questions and bring people together.

If you have a community connection, a possible venue, or a project idea, we would like to hear about it.

Discuss a collaboration

Help make the work possible

Space, equipment, printing, specialist knowledge, and other practical resources can support a well-prepared activity. Organizations interested in supporting a project are welcome to contact us about its needs and scope.

Ask about supporting a project

Before you take part

An activity announcement should tell you what it is for, when and where it takes place, whether there is a cost, its language arrangements, and how to ask about access needs. Where contributions will be documented or shared, the project will explain that before participation.
