Practice names and fill-in fields
Recordings use Li Ming (李明) as a sample name and Huaxing Company (华星公司) as a fictional practice company. The optional responsibility example is technical exchange (技术交流). Replace them with your real details.
The allergy example says peanuts (花生). It is a practice example, not personal medical information; use your actual checked allergy wording when traveling.
About the practice versions
Natural: short dialogue at normal synthetic speaking pace. Slow: Mandarin line by line with English meanings and optional phrases. Repeat: learner gaps, then a second hearing. Role play: speak the traveler’s lines; the partner answers, for two rounds.
Some optional phrases appear in the expanded manuscript but not in the compact printed guide. They are labeled as supplemental in the slow tracks. Long silent gaps in repeat and role-play tracks are intentional. Written pinyin uses citation tones; spoken tones may change in connected speech.
